Adapted Clock Practice — Special Education
Adaptive learning
This game is fully self-paced: students choose when to start each round, there is instant visual feedback (green for correct, red for incorrect), and the score counter provides a sense of progress without pressure. The level system allows teachers and parents to restrict practice to the exact range a student is ready for.
Teaching Tips & Strategies
- →Begin with Level 1 (Hours Only) regardless of grade — mastery first.
- →Use the 'Skip Clock' button to skip confusing times without penalty.
- →Reduce distractions: full-screen the browser to focus on just the game.
- →Short sessions (5–10 minutes) spaced across days outperform long single sessions.
Curriculum Alignment
- • IEP-aligned: reading time to the hour, half-hour, or quarter-hour
- • Visual discrimination: short vs long hand
- • Building time-telling independence
